The Business world is a very focused one, a website may act as a simple online brochure which need never go out of date, or it might be a strong selling tool. It is possible to have your customers interact with you, sell advertising, build communities, develop an international brand all through Flarebox. When you are growing a business, the way you portray yourself is how your customers will see you - a professional online presence is key to building that business presence.
Frontiers is a USA based company with a European office. They provide high quality travel specialising in sporting, safaris and non-sporting customised bespoke travel. They run three websites
www.frontierstravel.com is their main USA based site, for sporting travel. This sits on a highly customised full version of Flarebox. By using a variety of wrappers they present one front page and then a common content page. However the content page is a different wrapper for each 'department' looking similar, but colour coded. Within the site they carry integration to two external services: Adpeeps (an advertising management system installed locally alongside Flarebox) and Website Alive (an integrated online Chat Management System - allowing website visitors to 'chat' real time to a company employee). The website is extensive with over 2,500 pages, and more than 250 menus. The wrappers cleverly present menus appropriately according to the type of page you are viewing and it is all managed from the Flarebox admin system.
click on one of the front page banners, or a menu option present on all pages and you are taken to www.frontiersej.com a separate site sitting on a parallel copy of Flarebox. The site could have sat within the one copy of Flarebox, but as there was a desire to separate the brnad identity through the domain, a second copy of Flarebox was installed. The site uses a very similar, but tweaked look and feel and links back to the main website.
In Europe the office has its own, separate website at www.frontierstrvl.co.uk where the look fits in with the family of sites, but is tweaked for the European market. Each website is linked through flags at the top to direct traffic to the correct location, and Geo-targetting is in operation so that if a European visitor is detected visiting the USA sites they are asked whether that is their preferred destination, or whether they would prefer the European website, their choice then being remembered. Similar in content and scale the European website is noted for having over 6,600 page photos and over 4,500 banner photos. Page photos and movies are presented to the visitor using an intuitive wall of media to make it easy to browse.
Behind the scenes the European office runs an innovative internal client system sitting securely on the web, integrated into Flarebox. Marketing is tied across the two systems and when news items are added through the Flarebox website they are automatically amalgamated and sent at a regular interval to clients in the form of an HTML email blast or email newsletter - all without human intervention.
